ABOUT WESTERNERS
About Westerners

Westerners International is an association for anyone with an interest in Western American history. The first Westerners organization was founded in Chicago in 1944 and it has since grown to include chapters (or 'corrals') in most major American cities and many international countries as well.

Westerner Corrals hold regular meetings where members discuss history topics, listen to presentations and share history news, information and stories. The emphasis is on a fun, informal approach to western history and members include both professional historians and general history buffs.

Westerners International also helps to promote western history through sponsoring awards, funding publications and support of the annual Western History Association Conference.
